How to Use Script Looper Open the Script Looper home screen Install the Script Looper extension => click the Extensions button at the top right of the computer screen => click the pin button for Script Looper => a Script Looper button appears next to the Extensions button. Click that button to open the Script Looper home screen on the right. Select and open a YouTube video On the home screen, click All recommended channels to open the Script Looper YouTube Picks blog, then choose a YouTube video that matches your level, interests, and goals. AI context translation and bilingual subtitle panel Click the Translate button at the top of the subtitle panel. A ChatGPT window opens on the left, and translations are added line by line to the subtitle panel as they are generated. When translation and bilingual overlay are complete, the ChatGPT window closes. Long videos are processed in 5-minute segments. When a segment is fully translated, its number button turns blue. Click a blue button again to hide that segment’s translations. * ChatGPT login required (both free and paid accounts work) Sentence loop playback (Z, A/D, Space) Press Z to highlight the currently playing subtitle or the subtitle you clicked, and loop that part of the YouTube video. While looping, press D/A to move to the next/previous subtitle and keep looping. Press Z again to stop looping. Press Space to pause, and press Space again to resume. Context explanations for words, idioms, slang, and grammar If you don’t know a word, idiom, slang expression, or grammar point, pause with Space and drag to select it. When the Ask popup appears, click it. You get a context explanation of meaning, nuance, and grammar, plus 5 example sentences. Click an example and press C to hear it looped. Press A/D to move to the previous/next sentence and keep looping. Press C again to stop. Selected-range loop playback (X) In the subtitle panel, drag part of a subtitle or multiple subtitles, then press X. The whole selected range is highlighted and loops automatically. Press X again to stop. Subtitle–audio sync (1~4, Q/W/E/R) If the subtitle range and the audio range don’t match, adjust the start/end of the audio range with 1/2 (start −0.1s/+0.1s), 3/4 (end −0.1s/+0.1s), Q/W (start −0.5s/+0.5s), and E/R (end −0.5s/+0.5s). Playback speed (<, >) Press < to slow down and > to speed up.
