The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Screpy SEO Extension
Screpy SEO Extension helps you inspect the page open in your browser and review available backlink information for its domain. It is the official Screpy extension, free to use without an account or subscription.
PAGE ANALYSIS
Review the page title, meta description, headings, canonical URL, images and alternative text. Inspect HTTP responses, robots.txt, sitemap references, JSON-LD structured data, social sharing tags and selected accessibility signals. Separate sections let you go directly to the information you need.
LINKS AND HIGHLIGHTING
Inspect internal and external links, their relationship attributes and available HTTP status codes. Apply optional colors to selected link categories directly on the page. Highlighting changes only your own browser view, and your preferences are saved locally.
BACKLINK INFORMATION
Request available backlink metrics, referring domains, referring pages and anchor texts for the active domain. Coverage and freshness vary, so the report may not include every backlink.
GOOGLE SEARCH RESULTS
On supported Google results pages at google.com, view organic result position numbers and highlight saved domains with custom colors. Domain matching uses the domain displayed in the result when available, including results that use Google redirect links. These tools describe the results currently on screen; they do not run scheduled searches or keep ranking history.
GETTING STARTED
Open a public webpage, click the extension icon and choose an analysis section. Open Links to check link responses, Backlinks to request domain information, or SERP to manage domain highlights. Chrome restricts access to internal browser pages and certain protected URLs.
DATA AND PERMISSIONS
The extension reads the active page URL and HTML for the analysis you request. Technical checks request public resources such as canonical targets, robots.txt, sitemaps and selected links. Backlink requests send the active domain to Screpy's service. Highlight preferences and saved domain rules are stored locally. See the linked privacy policy for details.
Active tab and scripting permissions support page inspection and highlighting. Storage saves your preferences. Website access supports the requested analysis and technical checks.
This extension provides page-level information rather than a full-site crawl. Its checks do not guarantee search rankings, rich-result eligibility or accessibility compliance. You can use the findings to decide what needs further review.
