Record your screen, then edit it in the same browser tab. ScreenFlow Studio captures a single tab, one application window or your whole desktop, mixes your microphone with the computer's own sound, and hands you a real timeline so you can cut the recording before you share it. Everything happens on your machine. There is no account to create, nothing is uploaded, and there is no watermark on the result. RECORDING • Capture a tab, a window or the full screen • Optional webcam bubble composited straight into the recording, in any corner, three sizes, circle or rounded, with a mirror toggle • Microphone and system audio mixed together • Up to 1440p at 60 fps, with a live size and time readout • A floating control bar on the page with a timer, pause, mic mute and discard • The recorder shrinks to a small control bar in the corner once capture starts • Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+R to start or stop, Alt+Shift+P to pause • Long recordings are written to disk in chunks, so a one hour take will not exhaust memory STUDIO VOICE, THE PART MOST RECORDERS SKIP • Noise suppression removes fans, hiss and keyboard noise • A sample accurate noise gate runs on the audio thread as an AudioWorklet and mutes room tone between sentences without the chopped sound a simple gate gives • The gate measures the real noise floor of your room and adapts to it • A voice EQ, compressor and limiter keep your level even and never clipped • A live meter and a threshold slider let you set it up before you record • Echo cancellation for when you record on speakers EDITING • Trim with draggable handles, or type an exact time such as 1:23.500 • Step frame by frame, and zoom the timeline up to 40 times for precise cuts • Split a clip at the playhead • Join as many takes as you like and drag them into any order • Undo and redo across every edit • Per clip volume • Background music from any audio file, looped to fill the video, with independent music and original audio levels EXPORT • MP4 with H.264 and AAC, or WebM with VP9 and Opus • 480p up to 2160p, 24 to 60 fps, 2.5 to 16 Mbps • Saved straight to your downloads folder PRIVACY Recordings are stored in your browser's local database and encoded on your own computer. The extension has no server, no analytics and no network calls at all. You can confirm this yourself by opening the Network panel of Chrome's developer tools while you record and export. KNOWN LIMITS System audio is available for tab capture, and on Windows and ChromeOS for full screen capture. Chrome does not expose system audio when you capture a single window, so that mode records your microphone only. This is a Chrome limitation, not an extension bug.
