SceneChat adds timestamped reactions beside the video you’re watching. A reaction someone left yesterday can meet you at the right moment today. Comments appear as you reach their timestamps and follow when you pause, seek, or replay. Create an email account, choose a username, verify your email, and join the conversation. • Automatic title detection from video-page metadata, with catalog lookup when a confident match is available. • Playback-time tracking for standard and embedded browser video players. • Timestamped reactions with future moments hidden from the visible feed. • One like per viewer per reaction, with the ability to undo a like. • Profile counts for your reactions and likes received. • Report, hide-viewer, reaction deletion, password recovery, and account deletion controls. • Experimental copy alignment using repeated readable frame or subtitle fingerprints. • Optional title and timing corrections when automatic matching needs help. Coverage varies by website. Protected video, closed/custom players, and inaccessible frames or captions can limit detection and alignment. Uncertain edits stay on separate timelines. Timestamp filtering cannot stop someone from writing a future spoiler at an early timestamp. SceneChat accompanies your player. It does not provide movies, subscriptions, or access to streaming services. Accounts and community data use Firebase; title lookups may query TVmaze and Wikidata.
