SayItBetter fixes your writing in the place where you type it. Write your message in any text box: an email, a chat, a comment, a post. Press Alt+Shift+P. A small card opens next to your text with a cleaner version. Press Enter to use it. You do not copy your text into another app. You do not open a new tab. Your hands stay on the keyboard. WHAT IT DOES • Fixes grammar, spelling and punctuation. • Makes confusing sentences clear. • Underlines every word it changed, so you see the changes before you accept them. • Keeps your facts, names, numbers and links as they are. FIVE STYLES • Polish: correct and clear, and it still sounds like you. • Grammar only: fixes the mistakes and leaves your wording alone. • Shorter: the same message in fewer words. • More formal: modern business wording for messages at work. • Friendlier: warm and relaxed. Change the style with the left and right arrow keys. Press Tab to get a different version. Every version stays on the card, so you can go back to an earlier one. MADE FOR PEOPLE WHO WRITE ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE SayItBetter turns rough sentences into the English a fluent speaker writes today. Old textbook phrases and word-for-word translations become plain, natural sentences. Choose the English you need. Nine kinds are available, including American, British and Indian. You can also write in your own language and get the result in English. Or keep the result in the language you wrote in, for example Hindi. WORKS WHERE YOU WRITE The extension works in the text boxes of most websites, such as web mail, chat pages and comment sections. On X, the result stays within the 280 character limit. NOT SURE WHAT TO REPLY? Select the text you want to answer, click in the empty reply box and press the shortcut. The extension writes three short replies: one agrees, one disagrees politely, and one asks a question. Press 1, 2 or 3 to use one. NO SUBSCRIPTION SayItBetter works with your own OpenRouter API key. You pay OpenRouter only for what you use, and there is nothing to pay to us. • Choose from 14 AI models. Three of them are free. • The model list shows the cost of each model next to its name, for example 1x, 3x or 20x. • With the default model, one rewrite costs far less than one cent. PRIVACY • Your text is sent only when you press the shortcut or click the button. • Your text goes directly from your browser to OpenRouter. No other server receives it. • Your API key is saved on your computer only. • No account. No tracking. No ads. MORE CONTROL • A small button inside the text field, for when you prefer the mouse. • An entry in the right-click menu. • A copy button on the card. • A standing instruction for every rewrite, for example "Do not use exclamation marks". • Results never contain em dashes. • Turn the extension off on any website. HOW TO START 1. Install the extension. 2. Create a key at openrouter.ai/keys. 3. Click the SayItBetter icon in the toolbar and paste the key. 4. Type in any text box and press Alt+Shift+P.
