The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Save to Lareia
Save to Lareia keeps a web page the way your browser sees it: whole, with its figures, even one that asks you to sign in.
Click the extension's button and choose:
• «Download this page» — builds on your computer a .zip with the text in Markdown and the figures in a folder beside it. No account needed, and nothing leaves the browser: the page is read and packed right there, in the tab. The .zip opens in any Markdown editor, and goes into Lareia through the + button.
• «Save this page» — sends the page straight to To read in your Lareia account, the reading app. It is for what a link can't reach: a book chapter in a subscription library, an article on a site you're signed in to, a page the browser assembles itself. The figures come along, downloaded by the tab itself with the session you already have; the site's cookie and password never leave your computer. It asks you to sign in with your Lareia email and password.
What the extension does not do:
• it has no standing access to any site — it only reads the open tab, and only when you click its button;
• it does not read your history, your other tabs or what you type;
• it has no analytics, does not track you, shows no ads and sells no data.
How it handles data, in detail: https://lareia.app/privacidade.html#en
Lareia is an app for reading and listening slowly: your texts, your books, your highlights. This extension is the browser's door into it.
