The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Room Availability Checker
Room Availability Checker helps your organization enforce its room reservation policies in Google Calendar. Whenever you create or update an event with a resource (e.g., a meeting room), the extension checks the booking against the policies configured for that room via an integrated backend service. If a policy is not respected, you'll receive a clear notification and the extension removes the room from the event. Your event is always kept.
Key Features:
• Real-time policy check: As soon as you save an event, the extension verifies that the room booking respects the room's reservation rules.
• Room removal, never event deletion: If policy conditions aren't met, the extension removes the room from the event and notifies you. The event stays in your calendar.
• Recurring meetings handled precisely: For a recurring meeting, only the occurrences that exceed the policy lose the room; the compliant occurrences keep it and the series is preserved.
• Works seamlessly with Google Calendar: No need to leave your familiar Calendar interface—everything happens right there.
• Simple, intuitive notifications: Get immediate feedback when a room booking doesn't respect a policy.
How It Works:
1. Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
2. Open Google Calendar and sign in with the extension (one-time authorization).
3. Create or update an event, adding a room resource.
4. If the booking violates a room policy, a pop-up modal explains which rule applies and which occurrences are affected. The room is removed from those occurrences; the event itself is never deleted.
Privacy & Permissions:
• The extension requires permission to read and modify events in your Google Calendar in order to check bookings and remove a room when a policy is not respected.
• No Google access token is stored on your computer: sign-in relies on Chrome's built-in Google identity, and the extension only keeps a local flag indicating whether you are signed in.
• Event details are sent to our backend only to evaluate the room's policies. We do not share your personal data with third parties.
• This extension is not affiliated with Google LLC.
Say goodbye to room-booking headaches—install Room Availability Checker and let it keep your bookings compliant!
