Return Search Results

Google Search Result Count — See How Many Results Your Search Returns Google quietly removed the "About X results" count from search pages, with no announcement, no opt-out, no explanation. This extension brings it back. Return Search Results restores the exact number of results Google finds for any search, displayed right on the search results page where it used to live. Why bring it back: • SEO & keyword research: gauge competition and content saturation for a term at a glance • Content research: see how niche or broad a topic is before you write about it • Fact-checking & curiosity: quickly gauge how much the web has to say about something • Anyone who liked the count and misses it (me) How it works: Reads the result count Google already calculates internally and displays it automatically, including a workaround for less common queries where Google normally leaves the count blank. No accounts, no tracking, no data collection. Runs entirely in your browser, only on google.com search pages.
