Retrace — sessions & tabs

Too many tabs? Retrace saves a whole window as a session in one click, so you can close it with a clear head and get back to exactly where you were: tomorrow, next week or next month. Everything stays on your device. No account, no sign-in, no servers, no tracking. NEW IN 2.0 • A fresh Material 3 design, with light and dark themes and six accent colors • Sessions that describe themselves: a Google search shows as what you searched for, a video or GitHub repo by its name • Smart Spaces suggest where a new session belongs, or file it for you • Live sessions stay in sync with their window • A Windows view of every open tab, with duplicate cleanup and tab sleeping • Notes, tags, reminders and a recovery timeline SAVE IN ONE CLICK • Save the current window from the popup, the side panel, the full page or a keyboard shortcut • Save only the tabs you tick, or save and close them to free up memory • Saving the same window twice doesn't create a duplicate • Your tab groups are saved with their names and colors, and rebuilt when you reopen FIND IT AGAIN • Search every session by title, page, note or tag • Understands site:, in:Travel, is:pinned, #tag and dates like "yesterday" or "last week" • Ask in a sentence, like "hotels I looked at last week", and get ranked results • Pin the sessions you use every day; they reopen when Chrome starts • Archive the rest. Deleted sessions wait in the trash for 30 days ORGANIZE WITH SPACES • A Space gathers related sessions over time: a trip, a project, a course • Retrace learns what each Space is about and suggests where new sessions go • Add rules (a site like jira.yourcompany.com, or a word) to file matching sessions automatically • Give a Space an emoji, a color and a note, and open all of its sessions at once STAY ON TOP OF YOUR TABS • Live sessions follow their window as you open and close tabs • The Windows view lists every open window: search open tabs, jump to one, drag tabs between windows, close duplicates, put background tabs to sleep • Group tabs: one click sorts a messy window into real tab groups • Add notes to a session or to any page, label sessions with tags, and use "Remind me" to bring one back later NEVER LOSE A TAB • Recovery timeline: slide back through the windows you had open over the last day, or search for a page you closed • Recently closed tabs and windows, and a searchable history of everything you saved • Undo for anything you delete, archive or move SHARE WITHOUT UPLOADING • Copy a session's links as plain text or Markdown, or save it as a file or a simple web page • Nothing is uploaded. Your notes are included only if you choose SWITCHING FROM ANOTHER TAB MANAGER? Import from OneTab, Session Buddy, Toby or a bookmarks file. ON-DEVICE AI (OPTIONAL) On computers that support Chrome's built-in AI (Gemini Nano), Retrace can name and summarize sessions, group tabs and understand search questions, all on your device. Without it, every feature still works. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Your sessions are stored only in your browser, on this device • No account, no analytics, no ads, no Retrace servers • The extension's security policy blocks it from making network requests • Page icons come from the browser's own cache, not from websites Privacy policy: https://retrace-addon.store/privacy.html Help and questions: https://retrace-addon.store/support.html
