Restyle for Twitch gives twitch.tv a calmer, more coherent look. It adds no features and does not change how Twitch works: it quiets the noisy parts, gives the content more room, and makes every page look like it belongs to the same site.
WHAT CHANGES
• Home, Following and Browse: no autoplaying carousel, large shelf titles, rounded thumbnails, and cards that show the streamer's name first. Tags become small coloured chips.
• Sidebar: smaller, quieter rows, with viewer counts aligned to the right. Stories, hover cards and the "For You" header are gone.
• Top bar: more breathing room, a pill-shaped search field, dimmed icons.
• Channel page: a rounded, inset player and a centred column for the stream information and panels.
• Chat: muted messages that return to full contrast on hover, and no leaderboard above it. The emote, cheer, reward and drops popups share one framed style.
• Menus and dialogs: flat surfaces with a border instead of shadows.
It also covers category pages, search, videos and clips, a channel's tabs, the Subscribe panels and the settings pages. Creator Dashboard is left untouched.
YOUR SETTINGS
Click the extension's icon. Changes apply immediately, without reloading the page.
• Themes: eight ready-made pairs of background and accent colours, dark and light.
• Accent colour and background colour: pick your own. Sidebars, chat, menus and text colours are derived from the background.
• Channel colours: on a channel's pages, use that channel's own colour, adjusted until text stays readable.
• Spacing: compact, airy or very airy.
• Plain chat: hides badges and shows every username in the text colour.
• Enable on Twitch: turns the whole restyle on or off in one click.
PRIVACY
The extension only runs on twitch.tv. It collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. Its one permission, storage, is used to remember your settings.
GOOD TO KNOW
• Twitch changes its pages without notice, so an update on their side can break part of the restyle. If something looks wrong, please open an issue with a screenshot and the page's address: https://github.com/corentin-gautier/restyle-for-twitch/issues
• A few details may be missing when Twitch is displayed in a language other than English.
• The settings popup is available in English and French.
