About RepoVault - Git Repo Saver
RepoVault is a personal research library that lives in your browser. Save GitHub repositories, web pages, code snippets, AI prompts and notes — then organize, search and rediscover them without leaving your flow.
Save anything, instantly
One-click save from the side panel, the toolbar icon, right-click menus ("Save to RepoVault", "Save as Code Snippet") or keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+Shift+E / Ctrl+Shift+D)
Repos keep their stars, forks, language and topics automatically
Never miss an update
Tracked repos show an Updates tab with new releases, star growth and one-click checks
Browser notifications when a tracked repository publishes a new release
Built for developers
Web pages and READMEs are archived locally — search inside them and read offline later
Organize with tags, status (new, reading, in progress, done, archived) and priority
Grid, list, kanban board and statistics dashboard with activity charts and insights
Version history for every item — restore any past version of a note or snippet
Your data stays yours
Full export/import: JSON backups, HTML bookmarks and Markdown
Import from Chrome or Pocket bookmark exports
Everything stays in your browser's local storage — no account, no servers, no tracking
The only outbound request is an on-demand lookup of public repository metadata (stars, releases) for repos you explicitly choose to track
How to use it
Click the RepoVault toolbar icon to open the side panel on any page
Press Save — the page or repository is captured with its details
Right-click any link or text selection to save without opening the panel
Open the dashboard (Ctrl+Shift+D) to search, organize and explore your library
