Replyo — Reply Context for X

A reply makes more sense when you can see what it answers. Replyo adds a compact parent-post preview beside supported replies in your X notifications. Read the parent's text and author without repeatedly opening conversations and scrolling back to find the context. See available public follower counts for the original author and replier in light blue badges after the display name and before the @handle. Replyo does not add a separate replier handle row. Larger counts use 万/亿 in Chinese and K/M/B in English. Hover over a badge to see the full count; its accessibility label also includes the full number. Unavailable counts are omitted. HOW IT WORKS • Open Replyo, review the data-use notice, and enable it. • Browse X while signed in. Replyo uses a short-lived browser cache to show context it has already seen. • If context is missing, choose to load it. Replyo briefly opens a background X tab to read the relevant parent post, then closes untouched loading tabs, including tabs redirected to X sign-in. Tabs you take over or navigate elsewhere stay open. • Prefer fewer clicks? Turn on optional automatic loading. Manual loading is the default. • Clear the context cache or turn Replyo off from its popup. PRIVACY AND CONTROL Replyo processes X post text, author names and handles, available public follower counts, post identifiers and links, and your current X account handle locally to show reply context and author information and keep account caches separate. Follower counts come from data X has already loaded for the page; Replyo makes no additional profile requests to obtain them. It does not send these contents to the developer. It has no analytics, advertising trackers, AI service, or developer-operated backend. Loading missing context contacts X directly using your existing browser session. X's own website and privacy practices still apply. Replyo does not read your password or authentication cookies, and does not post, like, or send messages for you. For the context feature, the Web history disclosure covers only the specific X post links needed for context, and Personal communications covers only posts and replies your signed-in X account can access. Replyo does not read Chrome's history database, content from other websites, or X direct messages. Only the enabled and automatic-loading preferences persist locally. Parent-author follower counts use the existing session cache with a separate 15-minute validity period. Only reading and saving a valid count restarts its period; an unknown count does not extend a previous count's deadline. A cached count is reused only for the same author while valid, and expired counts are omitted. Replier follower counts remain only in the current page's memory and are not written to extension storage; Replyo does not create a separate profile database. Temporary loading-tab identifiers and a content-free cache coordination counter are kept in session storage. Each time Replyo reads a post from X's loaded page data and saves it, that record's 15-minute validity period starts or restarts. Reusing an existing Replyo cache entry does not extend the period. Expired records are not reused and are removed at the next cache operation, rather than by a timer at exactly 15 minutes. The session cache is limited to 300 records and 4 MiB overall, and clears when the browser session ends. You can clear it at any time. SCOPE AND LIMITS • Works on supported reply cards in the desktop X website at x.com, in Chrome 120 or later. A signed-in X account is needed. Incognito mode is not supported. • Shows the direct parent when it can be identified and accessed. It does not reconstruct every conversation or guarantee context for every notification. • The preview focuses on text and author information. Images, video, polls, long posts, and other media may not be fully represented. • Deleted, unavailable, restricted, or unrecognized posts may not load. X layout changes can affect compatibility.
