Reel Keeper — Instagram Background Play

Tired of Instagram pausing your Reels every time you switch to another tab? Reel Keeper fixes that. This lightweight extension overrides Instagram's auto-pause behavior so your videos keep playing in the background — whether you're checking email, browsing another site, or working in a different tab. How it works: • Install the extension and it's active immediately — no setup required • Instagram Reels, Stories, and video posts continue playing when you switch tabs • Click the extension icon to toggle background playback on or off • When turned off, Instagram behaves exactly as it normally does Features: • Works with Reels, Stories, and all Instagram videos • Simple on/off toggle from the popup • ON/OFF badge on the extension icon so you always know the current state • Zero configuration — just install and go • Lightweight — no background network requests, no performance impact Privacy: Reel Keeper does not collect, store, or transmit any data. No analytics, no tracking, no cookies. The only thing stored is your on/off preference — locally in your browser. Your Instagram activity stays completely private. Perfect for multitaskers who want to listen to Reels while working, or simply don't want their video interrupted every time they check another tab.
