The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About RecordThen - Screen Recorder
Record your screen. Then put AI to work.
RecordThen is an AI-powered screen recorder built around a simple idea: record what you want to show, then choose what happens next. Explain a bug, demonstrate a workflow, walk through a feature idea, or give feedback. RecordThen uses your recording's context to create useful AI outputs and move the work forward.
Record, then act
Capture a Chrome tab, window, full screen, or audio-only session, with optional microphone narration. Take screenshots as you go, pause and resume, and stop when you're done. The extension uploads your capture to your selected RecordThen workspace, where the application processes it and runs your chosen Then action.
Choose a Then action before recording, or add actions afterward. One recording can support several next steps, so you can reuse the same explanation across your team and tools.
Turn recordings into useful work with AI
• Copy Video Prompt — Turn what you showed and said into an AI-ready prompt. Give your coding agent the explanation, transcript, and visual evidence it needs to understand the task. Copy the prompt or download the Markdown and screenshots for your AI workflow.
• Work on a plan — Use AI to turn recording context into an implementation plan. Bring recordings, team input, and connected repository context together, then review the scope before developers or AI coding agents start building.
• Create Ticket — Start with an AI-generated draft instead of a blank issue. Review the title and description, then send the ticket to a connected GitHub, Jira, or Linear project with the recording's context.
• Generate documentation — Demonstrate a process and let AI help turn it into an editable written guide. Use your walkthrough to create documentation for onboarding, support, training, or everyday workflows.
• Draft a pull request — Use recording context and a connected repository to prepare a draft PR for human review. Give your team a concrete starting point for the change you've explained.
AI transcription and briefs help make your spoken explanation easier to review and reuse. Keep the source recording and visual evidence alongside generated outputs so teammates and AI agents can work from the same context. Review and edit AI drafts before using them.
More ways to use your recording
Then actions also let you:
• Share with your team or share publicly with a link.
• Add a page doc so a recording appears beside the page it explains.
• Add a poll to collect viewer feedback.
• Add your own call-to-action with a button, link, or message.
• Send a completed recording to a configured webhook.
• Save a copy to your computer.
Built for the work you're already doing
Developers can show a bug and create a prompt for an AI coding agent. Product, design, and QA teams can turn feedback into plans and ticket drafts. Creators, educators, and support teams can turn a walkthrough into a guide, a page doc, or a video with a clear next step for viewers.
You can also capture selected error-page details, recover interrupted recordings, and import videos you choose from a signed-in Loom library or Space into your RecordThen workspace.
Privacy and control
You choose the capture source and can pause, stop, or discard a recording. Safeguards block configured sensitive websites. The extension does not upload general browsing history while capture is inactive. Network diagnostics are collected only during supported, user-initiated capture workflows and are bounded and redacted before upload. Loom imports run only when you select them; Loom authentication cookies and signed media URLs are not retained.
A RecordThen account and an eligible account or workspace plan are required for captures and imports. Available AI features and Then actions depend on your plan, workspace settings, and connected services.
Record once. Then put it to work with AI.
