Reading Gate

Trade your doomscroll for a read. Unlike traditional app blockers that lock you out, Reading Gate lets you earn your scroll. When you open Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or another distracting site, you're first given a fresh article to read. Summarize it, rate it, and you've earned access for that visit. Psychology research suggests that relying on willpower and hard restrictions alone often isn't enough to create lasting habit change. Instead of fighting your habits, Reading Gate redirects them, turning every urge to scroll into an opportunity to learn first. Curious why this works? Check out our website. Everything you read, along with behavioral change over time, is tracked and visualized on your dashboard. Make Reading Gate yours. Choose topics you want to read, websites you want to block, and your favorite, bold color palette. Become more informed with every scroll.
