About Qur'an & Sunnah Companion
Qur'an & Sunnah Companion is a small popup in your toolbar with three things: Qur'an recitation, a hadith each time you open it, and reminders to make dhikr.
Qur'an
- Pick a surah and a reciter, then press Play. The reciter list comes from Quran.com, MP3Quran and Al-Quran Cloud and has over 400 entries.
- The recitation keeps playing after you close the popup, and a paused surah can be resumed after you restart the browser.
- Autoplay moves on to the next surah. The sleep timer stops playback after 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
- If a reciter only recorded part of the Qur'an, the list shows how many surahs they have, and autoplay skips the rest.
Hadith
- Each time you open the popup you get a hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari or Sahih Muslim, in English, French or Arabic.
- Every hadith shows its collection and number, for example Sahih al-Bukhari 6405, and links to it on sunnah.com.
Dhikr
- 28 adhkar in Arabic, each with a transliteration, the meaning in English and the hadith or verses it comes from.
- A virtue is shown only when its hadith is graded sahih or hasan.
- Reminders can come every 30 seconds up to once an hour, as a system notification or a small window. Each one closes after a minute.
Languages
English, French and Arabic. In Arabic the whole popup reads right to left.
Privacy
There is no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your settings stay in the browser's local storage. The extension only talks to the Qur'an, audio and hadith services it needs, and it has no access to the pages you visit. The adhkar are built in and work offline.
