The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About QuickShrink - URL Shortener
QuickShrink turns long, messy links into short, shareable ones in a single click — no account, no sign-up, no clutter.
Why QuickShrink
- One-click shortening — paste a link or let it auto-fill from your current tab
- Custom prefixes — brand your links (e.g. tinyurl.com/yourname-a3k9)
- Copy to clipboard in one tap
- Personalize the popup with your own mascot pictures
- No ads, no tracking, no account required
How it works
1. Click the QuickShrink icon in your toolbar
2. Paste a long URL (or let it auto-fill from the page you're on)
3. Hit "Shrink It" and copy your new short link
Privacy first
QuickShrink only sends the URL you choose to shorten to TinyURL's public API — nothing else. Your custom prefix and mascot pictures are stored locally in your browser and are never uploaded anywhere. We don't collect analytics, browsing history, or personal data.
Permissions, explained
- Storage — to remember your custom prefix and mascot pictures on your device
- Active Tab — to auto-fill the URL of the page you're currently on
- tinyurl.com — the only external service QuickShrink talks to, used to generate your short link.
