About QR Area Reader

QR Area Reader helps users read QR codes and supported barcodes directly from the page they are viewing. Instead of uploading an image or scanning the whole screen, users simply open the extension, select the exact area of the current tab that contains a code, and QR Area Reader reads the visible content inside that selection. Detected results are shown in the side panel and saved locally so users can copy them, reopen links, or review previous scans later. Users should install QR Area Reader because it is fast, focused, and practical for everyday browsing. It is useful when a QR code appears inside a webpage, PDF viewer, image, dashboard, ticket, invoice, email, or document opened in Chrome. The extension avoids unnecessary steps by letting users scan directly from the browser tab they are already using. Main benefits: - Scan QR codes and barcodes from any selected area of a webpage - Avoid downloading images or using an external phone camera - Copy detected values quickly - Open detected links directly - Keep a local history of previous scans - Use filters to find past readings - Works from Chrome’s side panel for quick access - No account required QR Area Reader is designed for users who often need to extract information from visible codes in the browser with minimal friction.QR Area Reader helps users read QR codes and supported barcodes directly from the page they are viewing.
