About QLA Voice
QLA Voice helps teachers enter assessment marks faster by using their voice instead of typing each mark manually.
When completing question-level analysis (QLA) or entering assessment data into supported online marksheets, teachers can simply say each mark aloud. QLA Voice validates the recognised mark, enters it into the selected field and moves on to the next one.
QLA Voice is deliberately designed for a narrow task. It is not general-purpose dictation. It listens for supported numerical marks and simple commands, helping reduce accidental data entry from ordinary conversation.
How it works
• Open your online marksheet in Chrome
• Select the first mark field
• Start QLA Voice
• Say each mark aloud
• QLA Voice enters the mark and advances to the next field
• Use supported commands such as Back and Stop when needed
Designed for teachers
QLA Voice was created by a practising Year 6 teacher to reduce the repetitive process of looking down at a marked paper, looking back at the screen, typing a mark and repeating the same process across an entire class.
It does not replace your existing assessment system — it simply makes entering marks into it faster.
Privacy
Speech recognition is processed locally on your device. QLA Voice does not need to send your spoken assessment marks to a remote speech-recognition service.
QLA Voice does not require access to pupil names or assessment records beyond the webpage fields you choose to use it with.
Licence required
QLA Voice requires an active licence. Licences and further information are available from qlavoice.co.uk.
Less time entering marks. More time for teaching.
