Punjabi Script Bridge helps people who read Gurmukhi or Shahmukhi understand the same Punjabi language across India and Pakistan. WHAT IT DOES • Detects Punjabi text on webpages (blogs, news, YouTube captions, and more) • Transliterates Gurmukhi → Shahmukhi or Shahmukhi → Gurmukhi based on your setting • Replaces text in place and adds a tiny marker so you can toggle the original • Works fully offline — no AI, no servers, no API keys, no cost SETTINGS • Enable / disable conversion • Choose direction (Gurmukhi → Shahmukhi or reverse) • Exclude sites you don’t want converted PRIVACY • All conversion runs on your device • Only stores your preferences (enable, direction, excluded sites) in Chrome sync storage • Does not collect personal content or browsing history Note: This is script transliteration (same language, different writing system), not meaning translation.
