ProvSeal – Verify & Sign Content Credentials

ProvSeal Verify lets you inspect, understand, and test Content Credentials (C2PA) directly in Chrome, locally, without uploading your files. Formerly "C2PA Signer". Only the name and visual identity have changed: features, local-first approach and privacy commitments remain the same. No action needed. WHY USE PROVSEAL VERIFY? Verify local files privately Inspect supported images, documents and videos for Content Credentials. See at a glance whether credentials are present, cryptographically valid, trusted, untrusted, invalid or missing. Scan media on web pages Analyze visible media in your active tab and get clear verification badges. Scanning is manual by default; automatic scanning is optional. Understand provenance and trust Detailed reports include: - Manifest information - Actions and assertions - Certificate details - Trust-chain status - Validation warnings and errors - Exportable JSON data Test signing workflows locally Create a local test identity and certificate for learning, demos, development and internal validation, or import your own .p12 / .pfx signing material to test signing JPEG and PNG files with your identity. PRIVACY BY DESIGN Verification and test signing run locally in your browser. Your files, media, private keys and certificates are never uploaded to a ProvSeal server. No advertising, no tracking, no data sale, no profiling. WHAT PROVSEAL VERIFY DOES NOT DO ProvSeal Verify checks cryptographic provenance and integrity, not truth. It is not an AI detector. - Unsigned content is not automatically fake. - Signed content is not automatically truthful. - A valid credential confirms integrity and provenance information, not the accuracy of what the content depicts. - A valid test signature is not a publicly trusted production signature. ABOUT TEST CERTIFICATES Locally generated certificates are for learning, demos, development and internal validation only. They are not publicly trusted: public trust requires an appropriate certificate chain and the applicable trust policies of the Content Credentials ecosystem.
