About PropaLens
PropaLens highlights possible propaganda and rhetorical techniques in webpage text, helping you examine how an article is written.
Click the extension and choose "Analyse this page" to start a scan. PropaLens marks sentences that its model thinks may use a technique. Hover over or click a highlight to see the technique, a short explanation, and a confidence indicator. Use the popup to review a summary, adjust the confidence threshold, hide techniques, or rescan. You can also choose "Always analyse this site" for individual sites; this is off unless you opt in.
Analysis runs locally in your browser using models bundled with the extension. Page text, browsing activity, and detections are not sent to PropaLens or another server. PropaLens does not use accounts, advertising, analytics, or telemetry. Your preferences and any sites you opt in to are stored locally in Chrome.
Experimental: PropaLens can miss examples or label them incorrectly. Highlights are not fact-checks and do not determine whether a claim is true or what an author intended. Use your own judgment and consult other sources.
