The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About PromptShield Enterprise
PromptShield Enterprise enforces your organization's AI usage policy directly in the browser.
Employees often paste confidential data such as source code, customer records and contracts into public AI chatbots that the company hasn't approved ("shadow AI"). PromptShield Enterprise stops that at the source by blocking unsanctioned AI tools, and it gives your security team visibility through the PromptShield dashboard.
WHAT IT DOES
• Blocks access to more than 60 unapproved AI chat assistants, AI writing tools and AI coding tools.
• Shows a clear warning page in place of the blocked site, explaining that it isn't approved under your organization's AI policy.
• Reports blocked attempts to your organization's PromptShield dashboard, so admins can see which AI tools are in demand and where training or approved alternatives are needed.
• Sends a periodic check-in so admins can confirm the extension is active on each device.
• Never blocks the PromptShield web app itself.
PRIVACY BY DESIGN
• Nothing is sent anywhere until you sign in to PromptShield and explicitly agree to reporting.
• When linked, each blocked attempt reports your PromptShield account (name and email), the blocked site's address (domain and path only), the time, and your browser, operating system and device ID. Your IP address is seen by the PromptShield server when the report arrives.
• Query strings and fragments, which can contain prompt text or conversation IDs, are removed before anything is recorded.
• The extension does not read page content, keystrokes or prompts, and it does not collect your browsing history on other sites.
• Data goes only to your organization's PromptShield account and is never sold or shared with advertisers.
WHO IT'S FOR
PromptShield Enterprise is meant for organizations using PromptShield (https://enterprise.promptshield.live). After installing it, open the PromptShield web app and sign in to link the extension to your account. IT administrators can force-install it for managed Chrome browsers through the Google Admin console.
