About Prompt Vault — AI Prompt Manager
Prompt Vault saves the AI prompts that actually worked, so you're not hunting through old chat threads to find that one prompt that gave you good results.
Save a prompt three ways: click the floating "Save prompt" button that appears on ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini; right-click any selected text and choose "Save selection to Prompt Vault"; or add one by hand in the popup or Library.
Use a saved prompt without ever leaving the chat. Type "/" as the first character in the chat box, or press Ctrl/Cmd+K, and a search popup opens right there — arrow keys or click to pick a prompt, and it's inserted directly. Prompts with {{variables}} show quick fill-in fields first, so one saved prompt covers many situations.
The Library keeps things organized, not just saved:
• Prompt Health Check — a rule-based score on whether a prompt sets a role, a format, constraints, and an example
• Auto-tag suggestions as you write
• Duplicate detection before you save near-identical prompts
• Folders, tags, favorites, and full-text search
• Version history with one-click restore
• View as JSON — turns a prompt into a structured object for tools that want it that way
• Usage stats and a 5-star result rating so your best prompts surface naturally
• Import/export as JSON for backup
Everything is stored locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server — Prompt Vault doesn't have one.
