Profile Lock Pro

Profile Lock Pro is a local privacy lock for your Chrome profile tabs. It helps protect your open tabs from casual viewing by showing a password-protected lock screen inside your current Chrome profile. Set a local password, choose a lock style, customize the black/red security theme, and lock your profile instantly from the popup or keyboard shortcut. Key features: • Password-protected in-browser lock screen • Local-only password hashing • Manual Lock Now button • Auto-lock after inactivity • Lock on browser restart where Chrome allows • Blur Mode with adjustable blur strength and page visibility • Blackout Mode for stronger screen privacy • Dedicated lock page / Maximum Shield mode • Password hint option • Failed attempt counter and optional cooldown • Custom primary and secondary theme colors • Clean popup and full settings dashboard Privacy: Profile Lock Pro does not use analytics, tracking, external servers, or cloud sync. Your password is not stored as plain text. Password hash and settings stay locally in your browser storage. Important limitation: Chrome extensions cannot lock the whole computer, cannot fully protect Chrome internal pages such as chrome://extensions, and cannot stop the profile owner from disabling or uninstalling the extension. Profile Lock Pro is a local tab privacy helper, not a replacement for your operating system password, disk encryption, or Chrome profile security. Best for: • Shared computers • Office or study environments • Quick privacy when stepping away • Hiding normal web tab contents from casual viewing
