Encrypted notes & private links — not a password manager. Private Stash is a password-locked side panel for the notes and links nobody else should see: personal notes, gift ideas, a private reading list, research you'd rather keep out of your bookmarks. Everything is encrypted on your device with one master password. ★ ENCRYPTED NOTES IN MARKDOWN Write with headings, lists, tables and links. Notes save as you type, and every item is encrypted (Argon2id + AES-256-GCM) before it is written to disk. ★ PRIVATE LINKS Save the current tab, or right-click a page or link, to keep it in your encrypted stash instead of your bookmarks. Open saved links in a private window so they stay out of your history too. ★ LOCKS ITSELF Auto-lock after inactivity, on every browser restart and, by default, whenever you close the panel. Lock instantly with Alt+Shift+L. Repeated wrong passwords trigger a growing delay. ★ FIND ANYTHING Ctrl+K searches titles, notes, links and tags, with typo-tolerant matching. Organize with tags, folders and pins. The search index lives only in memory and is wiped when the vault locks. ★ NOT A PASSWORD MANAGER Private Stash is built for notes and links. It warns you when something looks like a password, a card number or a crypto recovery phrase, and points you to the right tool. There is no autofill, no form capture and no password generator, on purpose. ★ PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account and no sign-up. • No analytics, no tracking, no ads. It never reads or changes the pages you visit. • Your data stays on this device. Optional encrypted sync (Pro) uses your browser's own sync storage and only ever uploads encrypted data. • Encrypted backups are free, always. • There is no password recovery.
