Privacy Suite Extension for WhatsApp Web

Keep your WhatsApp Web conversations private in the office, at home, while traveling, or in shared workspaces. 🔒 SMART PRIVACY CONTROLS ──────────────────────── Choose exactly what to hide on WhatsApp Web: • Contact names • Profile pictures • Last message previews • Chat messages and bubbles • Reactions and emojis • Voice notes • Photos, videos, and stickers • Call log • Status thumbnails • Community names • Message composer • Search Bar and more Hover over any protected item to reveal it temporarily, then it automatically hides again when your cursor moves away. Customize blur strength per category from light privacy filtering to full concealment. 🎭 PRIVACY MODES & SCHEDULING ──────────────────────── Save your favorite blur setups as modes and switch between them in one tap. • Built-in Work and Personal modes • Create your own custom modes • Each mode remembers exactly which categories are hidden • Whatever you change while a mode is active is saved back into it Schedule modes by the clock: • Apply one mode during your chosen hours and another outside them • Optional weekdays-only switching (Monday–Friday) • Runs automatically in the background, even when the popup is closed • No reminders to set — your privacy switches itself on time ⚡ QUICK BLUR TOGGLE ──────────────────────── Reveal everything and blur it all again with a single shortcut. Press Ctrl+Z (customizable) to instantly turn the entire blur suite off, then press again to turn it back on. • One-key reveal all / blur all • Instant, zero-flash switching • Perfect for quickly checking a chat, then re-hiding it • Set your own shortcut in your browser's extension settings 🚨 PANIC MODE ──────────────────────── Need instant privacy? Press Ctrl+Shift+Z (customizable) to immediately shield your entire WhatsApp Web screen with a secure privacy overlay. • One-key activation • Instant screen protection • Self-healing anti-tamper protection (MutationObserver + watchdog) • Restore with a second press or Escape • No page reloads • No logout required For additional protection, secure Panic Mode with a PIN or password. 🔐 AUTO LOCK PROTECTION ──────────────────────── Automatically enable privacy protection when: • You're inactive for a chosen period • You switch browser tabs • The browser is minimized • Your device wakes from sleep • WhatsApp Web is refreshed Enable only the triggers you need. 🛡 CHAT GUARD ──────────────────────── Prevent accidental chat openings. Require Ctrl+Click (Cmd+Click on macOS) before opening conversations, helping protect your privacy when sharing your screen or working in public spaces. 👀 AWAY GUARD (AMBIENT PRIVACY) ──────────────────────── Automatically blur your entire screen the moment you look away, then reveal it the instant you return — no shortcut to press. • Blurs when you switch tabs, minimize, or click into another app • Blurs after a chosen period of inactivity (any interaction reveals it again) • A clear on-screen banner shows when Ambient Privacy mode is active and how to turn it off • Nothing is saved — a reload always restores your normal view Great against shoulder-surfing and accidental screen shares in meetings. 🔕 NOTIFICATION PRIVACY ──────────────────────── Stop desktop notifications from leaking the sender's name and message text on your screen or lock screen. • Redact — show a generic "New message" instead of the real content • Hide fully — don't surface a popup at all • Only affects notifications while the extension is active; nothing is read or stored 🔔 STAY UP TO DATE ──────────────────────── Never miss an update. The popup shows an "Update available" notice whenever a newer version has been released, with a built-in step-by-step guide for updating on your browser. • Clear in-app update notification • Per-browser update instructions • No background tracking — the check runs only when you open the popup 🏠 LOCAL & PRIVATE BY DESIGN ──────────────────────── While you use it, your data never leaves your device. • No servers • No analytics • No telemetry • No tracking • No advertisements All settings remain stored locally in your browser. PINs and passwords are protected using secure one-way hashing. Your actual secret is never stored. The only time anything is sent off-device is an optional uninstall survey: if you remove the extension, a feedback page opens where you can (optionally) tell us why. It also includes anonymized technical diagnostics (browser, OS, screen size, language, timezone) to help us fix compatibility issues. It never sends your name, email, IP address, or anything from WhatsApp. 🎨 CUSTOMIZABLE INTERFACE ──────────────────────── Choose the layout that fits your workflow: • Grid • Sidebar • Tabs • List • Dashboard Includes multiple themes: • Dark • Light • Glass • Neon • Colorful Built for privacy-conscious professionals, remote workers, students, and anyone who values control over what appears on their screen.
