The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Power Automate UI Switcher
Power Automate UI Switcher opens your flows in the designer you prefer, classic or modern, and makes the classic designer faster and easier to work with.
π GETTING STARTED
β’ The first time you open a flow, a one-minute tour shows the main features. Skip it, or take it again later from the popup.
β’ A guide explains every feature with steps and screenshots.
π DESIGNER SWITCH
β’ Flow and run pages open in the classic or modern designer, also when you move around inside Power Automate.
β’ Switch in the popup or with Alt+Shift+D (Option+Shift+D on Mac).
β’ The toolbar badge shows OLD for classic and NEW for modern.
β’ Other pages, such as flow details, connections and owners, are left unchanged.
βοΈ EXPRESSION EDITOR
β’ Larger editor: wider, taller and with word wrap. Drag its corner to set your own size.
β’ Function | Dynamic content below the editor, as in the new designer: put dynamic content in an expression without leaving it. The search box also finds items hidden behind "See more".
β’ π Bracket colors, as in VS Code: each nesting level of ( ) and [ ] gets its own color, the pair at the cursor is boxed, and a missing or extra bracket shows in red.
β’ Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac) confirms the expression.
π FIND AND EDIT ACTIONS
β’ Search all actions of a flow, also inside collapsed blocks, by name or by any text in their parameters, and jump to one with a click. Alt+Shift+F (Option+Shift+F on Mac).
β’ See which actions use an action or variable, and copy an action or the whole flow as JSON.
β’ Replace text across the flow, after a preview and with Undo.
β’ In a flow run, see each action's status, or list only the failed or skipped actions.
β’ { } Edit the JSON of the whole flow or of one action. Invalid JSON is not applied, and Undo reverts it.
β’ β Insert a step before the first action inside an Apply to each, Do until, Scope, Condition branch or Switch case, as in the new designer.
β’ Collapse all cards with Alt+Shift+C (Option+Shift+C on Mac).
β‘ SAVE SAFELY, WORK FASTER
β’ πΎ Safe save: Save and Ctrl+S (Cmd+S on Mac) wait until the designer has processed your last edit, so a value you just typed is not lost.
β’ Faster rendering (beta): with many cards open, clicking in a field no longer freezes the designer, and the dynamic content popup opens without the usual wait.
βοΈ YOUR CHOICE
β’ Turn each feature on or off in the popup.
β’ Check features shows whether each feature still works with the current version of the designer.
π PRIVACY
The extension only changes Power Automate's v3 URL parameter and how the designer looks and behaves in your browser. It changes a flow only when you ask it to, such as inserting a step, replacing text or applying edited JSON, and it only saves when you select Save or press Ctrl/Cmd+S. It does not send your flows, expressions or any other data anywhere. Your settings are stored with Chrome sync.
Power Automate UI Switcher is an independent extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft.
