The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Porn Guard
This extension blocks adult websites. When the user tries to open a blocked site,
the navigation is stopped before the page loads and a pause screen is shown.
After the pause, the user can continue or leave. The extension never locks the
browser; it only adds a pause and a reminder.
Two cases it handles:
- The user deliberately looks for an adult site.
- The user clicks an ad or a misleading link on a normal site, which redirects
to an adult site.
The purpose is simple: many users want to stop visiting adult sites and regret
it afterwards. The pause gives them a moment to reconsider.
