Vectorsmith turns images on the web into clean, editable SVG files. Everything happens in your browser, and nothing is uploaded. Use it on a logo, an icon, a screenshot or a diagram. If the site already has the real vector file, Vectorsmith uses that SVG directly. If there's only a regular image like a PNG or JPG, the built-in tracing engine redraws it with smooth vector curves. What it does • Grabs the original SVG when a page has one, so you lose no quality and nothing has to be traced • Traces PNG, JPG, WebP and GIF images into real vector paths when it doesn't • Works on your own files too: drop a PNG or JPG onto Vectorsmith's own page and trace it there • Color, Flat and Mono modes, plus Cutout, which removes the background • A live preview you can pan and zoom, with an eraser for stray marks (and undo and redo) • Saves an SVG, or a PNG at 1×, 2× or 4× size, or copies the SVG to your clipboard Why the files are easy to work with Many in-browser tracers give you jagged polygons. Vectorsmith fits real cubic curves, recognizes circles and ellipses and writes them out as true shapes, and stacks color regions in proper layers instead of overlapping slabs. You end up with fewer, cleaner paths that you can open and keep editing in Illustrator or Figma. The engine is built into the extension. It was tuned on a benchmark of 448 brand marks, icons and wordmarks. Privacy Everything runs locally in your browser. There are no uploads, servers, accounts, analytics or tracking.
