About PixelScope for GA4 Explore Annotations
PixelScope brings your Google Analytics 4 annotations to Explore.
GA4 shows annotations in standard reports, but not in Explore (Explorations). PixelScope reads the annotations you already created in GA4 and draws them directly on your Explore line charts, so you can instantly see why a metric moved: a campaign launch, a site release, a tracking change.
WHAT IT DOES
- Single-day annotations appear as dashed vertical lines, date ranges as shaded bands
- Uses the same colours you picked in GA4
- Hover a marker to see the title, date and description; overlapping notes are grouped
- A side panel lists every annotation in the Explore date range, also in tables and other non-chart views
- Works with multiple Google accounts; switch at any time
- English and Turkish interface
HOW TO USE
1. Install the extension.
2. Open any Explore report in GA4.
3. Click "Annotations" in the bottom-right corner, then "Connect with Google", and sign in with an account that can view the property.
PRIVACY AND SECURITY
- Read-only access (analytics.readonly). The extension can never change your GA4 data or settings.
- Annotations are read with the official Google Analytics Admin API.
- No servers of its own: data flows only between your browser and Google.
- The access token and annotations are kept in memory only and erased when the browser closes.
- No analytics, tracking or ads inside the extension.
- Disconnect at any time: the token is revoked and stored data is deleted.
