About Pixel Data Layers Inspector
Inspect tracking payloads in Chrome's side panel, including permitted iframe contexts and Shopify custom pixel sandboxes.
Choose a site, read the disclosure and start a recording for that tab. Follow navigation history, select the source frame, and inspect the data the page reported.
Features
* Inspect dataLayer pushes, gtag commands and other configured queues.
* Watch configured object layers as snapshots with changed-key summaries.
* See container ids, Config/Get ids, send_to targets and available pixel names.
* Search titles and payloads across retained pages and frames.
* Filter records and group repeated events.
* Pause the displayed list while collection continues, or Stop collection.
* Copy JSON or individual fields, and export the selected page/frame log with cut notes and dropped counts.
Privacy and control
* No required all-sites host grant at installation. Start asks for the current HTTPS site.
* Recording is enabled per tab. Other tabs stay stopped until started.
* Known personal fields and email patterns are masked before storage by default. Masking is best effort; unusual personal values may remain.
* Raw values require a separate opt-in for each recording. Earlier raw entries may remain in history, copies and exported files.
* Captured data stays in local browser session memory. The extension has no server calls, analytics, advertising or remote code.
* Stop keeps the log. Revoke site access removes matching retained history. Downloaded files remain on your computer.
This is a debugging tool. It shows what a page reported, not which tags fired. Polling and storage limits can miss or trim records; incomplete data is marked. Sites can forge entries. Strict worker-based pixels and non-HTTPS frame URLs are outside the reader. A frame on another host needs its own grant.
Requires Chrome 140 or later. Not affiliated with Google, Shopify, Adobe or Tealium.
