Phosphor Lite — Speed Dial Dashboard

Phosphor Lite replaces your default new tab page with a beautiful, glowing CRT phosphor speed dial dashboard. Get all the nostalgic atmosphere of classic computing terminals, simplified and streamlined into a purely visual, highly-customizable bookmarks interface. — GLOWING RETRO AESTHETIC — Choose from 8 distinct phosphor palettes: Amber (default), Green, Blue, White, Crimson, Matrix, Ice, and Warm. Personalize the look with adjustable scanline overlays, phosphor glow intensity, and historical phosphor molecular persistence (P1/P3 ghosting afterimages). — SPEED DIALS & BOOKMARKS — Keep your favorite websites organized in custom, named categories. Reorder items with intuitive drag-and-drop, edit labels or URLs inline, and automatically fetch favicon icons. Add current tabs instantly using Ctrl+Shift+S (Cmd+Shift+S on Mac) or your browser command. — RETRO DISPLAY MODES — Instantly switch display presets to mirror authentic hardware with custom fonts, styling, and color palettes: • Commodore 64: Cobalt blue backdrop and light blue text • Apple II: Classic green monochrome monitor look • NES: Retro game menu styling • Game Boy: Four-shade pea-green LCD palette — LIVE WEATHER WIDGETS — Add real-time weather tiles that display local conditions, temperature, and retro weather icons. Supports geolocation or manual location search with automatic background updates. — LAUNCH SETS — Group your bookmark aliases into custom "Launch Sets" and open multiple tabs at once with a single click. Keep track of your workflow with the integrated Recent Activity and Most Used dial sections. — ATMOSPHERIC RETRO AUDIO — Turn on simulated typewriter keyboard clicks and a warm system boot chime. All sounds are synthesized locally using the Web Audio API—no external audio files required. — DYNAMIC SCREENSAVERS — Protect your virtual CRT screen when idle. Choose from three interactive screensaver modes: • Cascade Protocol: Falling Matrix character rain that dynamically adapts its color scheme and symbols (or emojis!) to the current season and time of day. • Space Warp: A classic 3D starfield flight simulation. • Bouncing Dials: Watch your custom bookmark tiles bounce smoothly around the screen. — SEASONAL AUTO-SKIN — Let the dashboard adapt to the real world. Enable Auto-Skin to let the color palette automatically update by season and time of day (e.g., Ice/Blue for winter nights, Matrix/Warm for summer days). — 100% PRIVACY & SYNC — Your data stays yours. All speed dials, categories, launch sets, and preferences sync automatically across your signed-in Google account devices using chrome.storage.sync. Zero external databases, zero trackers, zero analytics.
