The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Peekly: Enhance Your Search with Live Preview, AI & Video
Opening
Peekly shows you what a link actually is before you click it.
Every search result and every link you scroll past is a guess: you don't know what's on the other side until you open it. Peekly replaces the guess with a real preview. GitHub stars and last-updated dates, YouTube playing inline, article summaries, and the live page itself, right under the link, without opening a tab.
Preview anywhere
Hover a link, or press and hold it, on any page: search results, Reddit, newsletters, docs. The live preview opens in place. Works out of the box on Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo.
Step through results -> new
Open one result and the whole list comes with it. Arrows on either side move you to the next page without closing the preview or going back, and the next one is already loading before you ask for it.
Pin and split view -> new
Pin a page to the side panel and keep browsing while it stays open. Pin a few, then open Split view: up to four live pages side by side in one tab, with dividers you can drag to give one more room.
Feed view
Turn a results page into a scrollable feed of full previews. Read several results back to back without clicking into any of them.
Peekly AI
Summarize any page or ask questions about it, using your own API key. Nothing routes through our servers. Gemini and Groq are available on Plus; Pro adds ChatGPT and Claude, and lets you ask all four at once with the answers side by side.
Reading and capture tools
Highlight text, take screenshots including area select and full-page batch capture, and record the page as video at up to 4K.
Tabs view
See every open tab as a searchable grid, jump to any of them, and close what you don't need. Free, no plan required.
Built to run locally
Previews are fetched directly from the page you're viewing, the same way opening it in a new tab would be. No Peekly server is ever involved, and no account is required to use the core features.
Recording
record the page as video at up to 4K
Float a video over your desktop
Pull a YouTube video out of the preview and it keeps playing above every other app on your desktop. Switch tabs, switch windows, keep typing it stays on top, exactly where you left it.
Pricing
Free forever for the essentials. Plus and Pro are one-time purchases, never subscriptions, and unlock stepping through results, pin and split view, Google Scholar cards, deeper Feed browsing, more AI models, higher-resolution recording, and batch screenshots. See peeklyapp.com/#pricing.
