About pcbang.io Virtual Browser
pcbang.io is a virtual internet cafe in your browser: walk in, sit at a virtual computer, and use the most well known operating system of early 2000s with the people around you.
Out of the box, the virtual browser on those computers shows the web as it was in 2003. This extension makes it show the live web instead: videos, social media, forums, Wikipedia, with the sign-ins you already have in your browser.
How it works
- Install, open pcbang.io, click the extension's toolbar button and allow it. The button shows ON for that tab.
- Sit at a PC, open the virtual Browser and type an address.
- Press Share inside virtual Browser to show your page on your monitor to the players around you.
What it does and doesn't do
- Privacy focused: no analytics, no data is sent out, no servers of its own.
- The virtual Browser and virtual OS runs in your actual chrome browser
- Any site you visit lives on your chrome browser and and not accessible by pcbang.io or anyone
- It only acts in a pcbang.io tab where you switched it on, and only on pages inside the virtual Browser. Leaving pcbang.io or closing the tab switches it off.
- It lets sites load inside virtual Browser (most refuse to be shown inside another page) and keeps you signed in there creating an immersive environment.
- Banking, email and password-manager sites never load inside virtual Browser;
