About Pawprint
Pawprint turns what you see online into a PDF record for your own files. Right-click and choose “Swipe as a PDF” to capture the whole page, “Edit, then Swipe as a PDF” to click away anything you don’t want first, “Select and Swipe” to capture an area, or “Swipe the Image” to save an image.
Each PDF has a cover page with the full clickable URL, UTC and local capture time, page title, meta tags, HTTP headers, and SHA-256 hashes. It also has the screenshot and a selectable, searchable text version. Pawprint does not capture video.
Pawprint works entirely on your computer. It does not upload anything or collect data.
Known limitations
Videos are not captured (a playing video appears as whatever frame is on screen).
Sites that scroll inside an inner panel instead of the page itself only capture the visible part.
Ad/banner hiding is heuristic. It will miss some and occasionally hide something real; use the "choose what to hide first" option to correct that. The cover page records how many elements were hidden.
Text version supports Latin-1 characters only. Other scripts show as "?" (the screenshot is unaffected).
HTTP headers are re-requested at capture time and can differ from your original response.
The timestamp comes from your computer's clock and is not independently verified.
Pages taller than 40,000 px are truncated (noted in the PDF).
