The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Pause
Pause puts a deliberate breath between you and the sites that eat your time.
Add a site like instagram.com, youtube.com, or reddit.com, and the next time you
open it you get a calm, full-screen cooldown instead of an instant feed. A warm
gradient slowly washes up the page, a quote sits in the middle, and only when the
timer finishes does a "Continue" button appear. If you didn't really mean to be
there, the natural move is to just close the tab — which is exactly the point.
