The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About PasteCheck
PasteCheck helps you check copied or selected technical text before trusting it.
It looks for technical snippets and page-layout details that may change your machine, repository, browser, workflow, or project in ways that are easy to miss.
Use it when copying commands or configuration from tutorials, READMEs, documentation, chats, issue comments, setup guides, extension examples, workflows, or package-install instructions.
How it works:
1. Copy text, select text, or choose Page layout.
2. Open PasteCheck and press Check.
3. Review the local report.
4. Continue only if you trust what you checked.
Checked text and bounded page-layout facts are processed locally when you press Check. PasteCheck does not send your checked text or page content as telemetry.
PasteCheck uses limited operational telemetry that does not include the text or page content you check. Optional Connected Assist may contact the PasteCheck backend when you choose to use that feature. PasteCheck does not run commands or require an account.
PasteCheck is intentionally calm and practical: a local lens for spotting consequential details, not antivirus or a security verdict.
