The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Page2Task
Free and open source. Add deadlines to Google Calendar and Google Tasks in one click.
Page2Task reads any web page, email, screenshot, or PDF syllabus, finds the dates, and saves them to your own Google account. No copying, no typing.
Free to install with no account to create, and the first 30 AI reads are included, so there is nothing to set up and no API key to get.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Click the Page2Task icon on whatever you are looking at, or paste a screenshot or text.
2. It finds the deadline, title, and location for you.
3. One click saves it to Google Tasks, Google Calendar, or both.
WHAT IT READS
• Web pages and articles: the title becomes your task
• PDFs: upload a syllabus or any dated document and get the whole semester at once
• Emails: reads the open email and finds the real deadline, even when it's buried in an earlier message
• Video pages: the video becomes a calendar block with its real length
• Screenshots: paste (Cmd+V) a screenshot of a chat, poster, or form
• Any pasted text: a message, an invite, an email draft
SMART DETAILS
• Finds every date on the page, not just the first one, and lets you tick the ones you want
• Detects meeting locations and writes them into the Calendar event's location field
• Suggests the right Google Tasks list based on content
• Start/end times for events; date-only for to-dos
• Works in English and Chinese; interface in both languages, one-click switch
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• First 30 AI reads are free: your text is relayed once through our server to the AI model and nothing is stored or logged
• After that, plug in your own Gemini, Claude, OpenAI, or Kimi API key, or switch to Chrome's built-in AI, which runs entirely on your computer and never sends anything out
• No analytics, no tracking: your tasks and events go only to your own Google account
• Open source: https://github.com/iamsherryshen/page2task
