The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Page Brightness Slider
Page Brightness Slider is a simple, user-friendly extension that allows you to adjust the brightness of any webpage using a clean and intuitive slider. The extension places a soft dark overlay on the current tab, helping reduce eye strain, improve nighttime reading comfort, and create a more pleasant browsing experience.
You can easily increase or decrease the darkness level using the slider, and your chosen brightness value is saved automatically so it remains applied when you revisit the page. A reset button is also provided so you can return the page to normal with one click.
The extension operates only when you interact with it and does not modify websites permanently. All adjustments happen through a temporary overlay that affects only the active tab. No personal data is collected, and nothing is sent to external servers. Settings are stored locally using Chrome’s built-in storage.
This tool is ideal for users who:
• Browse at night or experience eye fatigue
• Prefer darker screens for better focus
• Want fine control over page brightness without system-wide changes
• Need a lightweight, minimal-permission extension
• Like a clean slider-based interface
The extension does not track activity, read webpage content, or access any user information. Its purpose is to offer a simple brightness adjustment overlay for the active tab only.
