The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About PackArcade Full Lockdown
PackArcade Full Lockdown is the official School-GIT browser assurance, focus, and Realm policy companion.
It securely connects the browser to School-GIT, verifies that the genuine extension is installed and active, and enables School-GIT Realm policies such as managed browsing, approved-site access, focus sessions, fullscreen environments, safe navigation, and account-aware restrictions.
The extension uses cryptographic installation verification instead of relying on a simple “I installed it” confirmation. When the user chooses to link a Google account, Chrome’s secure Identity/OAuth system can also be used for trusted-device School-GIT account recovery.
Depending on the active School-GIT Realm, the extension can:
Enforce approved School-GIT and PackArcade destinations
Support managed focus and fullscreen sessions
Apply School-GIT Realm access policies
Verify the extension installation cryptographically
Assist with trusted-device account recovery
Redirect blocked navigation to School-GIT policy pages
Coordinate with School-GIT’s Managed Access fallback when full extension capabilities are unavailable
Privacy-first design: the extension does not require Google passwords, does not read Gmail or Google Drive content, and does not use public-IP fingerprinting for installation verification. Account identity is used only for School-GIT linking, trusted-device recovery, and policy enforcement.
School-GIT remains usable when the extension cannot be installed. In those situations, School-GIT can automatically apply its Managed Access Realm with reduced and restricted functionality rather than completely denying access.
