The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Ownfeed
Your feed, on your terms.
Ownfeed is an AI filter for posts and replies on X. Describe what you don't want to see, keep the exceptions you care about, and correct any decision in place.
DATA AND PRIVACY
Ownfeed reads the text and basic metadata of posts and replies shown in X tabs where it runs, including a bounded passive copy of home-timeline/thread responses already returned to the foreground X page. It does not make extra X requests or read credentials for this early filtering. After sign-in, relevant content and browsing/thread context, explicit feedback, conversations and editable preferences/understanding are sent over HTTPS to your isolated Ownfeed account. Cerebras processes filtering, reading help and optional history analysis; OpenRouter-selected model providers process conversation and feedback learning. Ownfeed does not sell your data or use it for advertising.
History import is optional. It requests one-time Cookie access for a bounded read-only import of up to 200 Likes and 200 Bookmarks. X session cookies, tokens and authentication headers stay in your browser and are not uploaded.
First sign-in requires agreement to product analytics and AI diagnostics. PostHog (US) receives limited, content-free usage events and a separate diagnostic copy of AI inputs, outputs and tool traces, which can include conversations, posts and preference context. Each can be disabled independently in Settings > Data & privacy while Ownfeed remains available. Upgrades do not grant consent or re-enable sharing. Turning sharing off does not delete previous records. See the full privacy policy for retention and deletion requests.
START WITH ONE FILTER
You do not need to connect an inbox, calendar or cloud drive. Start by telling Ownfeed what to hide, in your own words.
• Filter by meaning, not just keywords.
"Hide ads. Keep real product discussions."
"Hide coin-pump hype. Keep security research."
Ownfeed considers the exceptions you explicitly state instead of banning a whole topic.
• Keep the last word.
Collapsed posts stay on the page. Inspect the reason or show a post once without teaching Ownfeed. If a call is wrong, Restore and correct provides explicit feedback. Related changes have receipts and Undo. Ownfeed does not block, mute or unfollow anyone on X.
• Make its understanding readable.
View and edit your Filter page and how Ownfeed understands you. You can export or delete your product data. Scrolling or time spent on a post is not a preference-learning signal.
• Ask when it is unsure.
Ownfeed may ask whether to keep or filter a kind of post. Your answer updates the Filter page. If a required service is unavailable, posts stay visible.
• Understand what you choose to read.
Get reading assistance and explanations for existing X posts, or discuss your preferences in the side panel.
Ownfeed currently works on X in desktop Chrome. It no longer searches for or inserts new-content recommendations. AI decisions can be wrong; your corrections and controls matter. The promotional images use illustrative examples, not real user account data or performance measurements.
