The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Orbo Cookie Inspector

Orbo Cookie Inspector shows you every cookie the website you are visiting sets, categorized and explained, with clear flags on cookies that appeared before a visitor could respond to a consent prompt. Install it if you build, audit, or manage websites. One click on any page answers the questions that normally cost you an afternoon in DevTools: what cookies does this site set, who do they belong to, which are analytics or advertising, how long do they live, and did any of them fire before consent? A free cookie checker and consent audit tool for developers, agencies, and site owners. No signup. No configuration. No data leaves your browser. THE QUESTION OTHER COOKIE VIEWERS DON'T ANSWER Most cookie extensions show you a raw list. Auditors need to know something more specific: which cookies were already set before anyone could click accept or reject? Orbo Cookie Inspector snapshots the page's cookies the instant it starts loading, before any page script runs. Cookies that already exist at that moment get a clear amber "set before consent" flag. That is the first thing to check when you audit a cookie consent setup, and this tool makes it visible in seconds. The flag is a heuristic and the tool is honest about it: if you accepted cookies on a site during an earlier visit, that earlier choice can explain pre-set cookies, and the interface says so. WHAT YOU SEE IN ONE CLICK - Total cookie count on the toolbar badge, updated as you browse - Every cookie categorized: Necessary, Functional, Analytics, Advertising, or honestly marked Unknown - Provider labels from a built-in database of 130+ known cookie signatures, covering the analytics tools, advertising pixels, tag managers, ecommerce platforms, and security services most commonly found on real sites - Amber flags on cookies set before any consent interaction - Consent banner detection: one line tells you which consent management platform is running on the page, or that none was found - Full technical detail per cookie: domain, path, human-readable expiry, HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite, partitioned, third-party, subdomain, and embedded-frame tags - Cookies used by embedded iframes such as video players and chat widgets, labeled with the frame they belong to - Cookie values hidden by default, revealed one at a time when you choose. Values can contain session tokens; a cookie tool should treat them that way BUILT FOR AGENCIES AND CLIENT WORK The Copy Report button generates a clean markdown summary: site, counts by category, consent banner detected, and every cookie with its flags. Paste it straight into a client email, an audit document, or a ticket. Cookie values are never included in reports. Typical workflow: open the client's site in a fresh profile, reload once, click the icon, copy the report. You now have a defensible snapshot of what the site sets and what fires before consent, ready to discuss with the client. FOR DEVELOPERS Dense, tabular layout. Monospace cookie names. 13px type. No fluffy empty states, no onboarding tour. It reads like a small dev tool because it is one. Compared to the browser's built-in DevTools, the inspector shows the same page-level picture but adds what DevTools cannot tell you: which category each cookie belongs to, which provider sets it, whether it existed before consent, whether a consent platform is present on the page, and a one-click export. It also distinguishes cookies stored for other subdomains of the site and cookies that belong to embedded frames, with each case labeled instead of silently mixed together. COMMON USES - Audit a client site before launch and flag anything that fires before consent - Check what an online store sets and separate cart essentials from tracking - Verify that a consent banner actually keeps analytics and advertising tags from firing before a choice is made - Identify unknown cookies on a site ahead of a privacy review - Compare cookie behavior before and after installing a consent plugin - Spot cookies riding along with embedded video players and chat widgets PRIVATE BY DESIGN This extension runs 100% locally. It collects no data, sends no analytics or telemetry, and makes no network requests of any kind. The signature database ships inside the package and updates only through normal extension updates. The only time your browser opens a connection is when you click a link to getorbo.com. For a tool whose job is judging how sites treat visitor data, we think that is the only acceptable design. It is also easy to verify: there is no server side to hide. HONEST BY DESIGN - Unknown cookies stay Unknown. The tool never guesses a cookie into the Necessary column; that label has to be earned by a known session, security, cart, or consent-state signature. - The pre-consent flag describes what was observed, in plain words, without legal conclusions. - Known limits are stated in the interface: cookies inside nested third-party frames may not be fully visible. This tool reports what it observes on a page. It does not provide legal advice, and it does not evaluate compliance with any law. If you are making legal decisions about a website, talk to a professional. ABOUT ORBO Orbo (getorbo.com) builds cookie consent tools, made by Orbo Technology Inc. This inspector shows you what one page is doing right now. When you want the full picture, Orbo's free site scan covers your whole site, and the Orbo banner is built around one principle: cookies should not fire before a visitor has had a real chance to choose. Install the inspector, click any site you care about, and see what it is really setting. It usually takes about ten seconds to find something you did not know was there.
