Orbit for Substack

You check your subscriber number. You spend an hour in notes and comments, replying, welcoming, meeting people. And the intelligence you get back for all of it? An email open rate. Substack focuses on your publishing. Orbit focuses on what actually brings people together: your conversations. HOW IT WORKS Install the extension and log into Substack like you always do. Orbit reads alongside you, using the session you're already in, and saves your back-and-forth conversations into your Orbit account. 1. Install the extension and make sure you're logged in at substack.com. 2. Click the Orbit icon and Connect to Orbit to sign in. 3. Your recent people load first. Older history fills in quietly in the background. Orbit syncs after you've been on Substack and a few times a day, only while your computer is on. WHAT YOU GET Your conversations, kept The back-and-forth in your activity feed scrolls away and takes real conversations with it. Orbit captures the ones where someone replied, so you can search by keyword or person and find the exchange you were meaning to act on. The person who mentioned a podcast. The reader who asked about beta testing. The conversation you know happened but can't find. Everyone who's reached back The people you can turn to, organized by how deep the relationship actually is. See who's new, so you can go read their writing and comment back. See who you haven't talked to in a while, what you talked about, and go see what they're up to. Group people into worlds, the natural clusters your audience falls into. Relationship momentum See how your orbit is changing over time. Who came in this week, who drifted quiet, who deepened from liking to talking. Real motion, not a static snapshot. A brief on the people you talk to Orbit writes a plain-language summary of each relationship. Who this person is, how you've interacted, and what's worth paying attention to. When you open someone's profile you get the full picture, not just a name. Works inside the Substack you already use Nothing to configure. No new app to learn. Click the Orbit icon, sync, and see your orbit. PRIVACY FIRST Your Substack login never leaves your computer. Orbit never sees or stores your password or session. Orbit receives your conversations, the people in them, and your own posts and notes. Never your subscribers' email addresses. Direct messages are off by default. They're only included if you turn them on. It reads and notices. It never writes posts, comments, or replies for you. You can ask us to delete your data at any time. WHO THIS IS FOR Substack creators doing the relationship work by hand: writing notes, showing up in comments, remembering who's who. If you care about the people behind the numbers, Orbit is for you. It works at every audience size. Whether you have 50 subscribers or 5,000, the relationships are the valuable part. It's 2026. Creators can have nice things. Orbit is a paid tool, available with a paid subscription to my Substack.
