The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Opened Link Highlighter
A simple browser extension that highlights all links opened on any tab while tracking is toggled on. Highlights can be hidden and shown again without losing them, cleared at any time, and customized with your own colors and opacity. Geared towards recruiters, researchers, or anyone wanting to keep track of which links they've opened.
# Use cases:
- A recruiter browsing candidate profiles on LinkedIn can instantly see which profiles they've already reviewed.
- A researcher can stay oriented in long-form content, seeing at a glance which pages, or even which sections, they've already explored.
- Any situation where someone might want to keep track of which links they've visited (e.g. links on Google Search, movies on Letterboxd, books on Goodreads, etc.)
# How to use:
Click the extension's icon, turn on "Track Opened Links", and browse as usual. Every link you open from then on is highlighted wherever it appears: on other pages, in other tabs without refreshing, and on endless scrolling pages as new links load.
# Options:
- Track Opened Links: saves the links you open. Turning it off stops saving new links, without removing the ones already saved.
- Show Highlights: hides or shows the highlights, without losing your saved links.
- Clear Highlights: removes all saved links, after asking "Are you sure?".
- Customize Highlights: choose the highlight and outline colors and their opacity. Useful on dark pages, where the default yellow can make text hard to read.
- Normalization: by default, links are compared with their query parameters ("?") and hash fragments ("#") ignored, which gives the best results on LinkedIn. Either can be turned off, for example to track individual YouTube videos or individual sections of a Wikipedia article. The full link is always saved, so these settings can be changed at any time.
Your saved links are stored only in your browser. The extension collects no data.
