The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Open Selected Links Beta

This is a prerelease version for testing. For details and the stable (GA) app, please see https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/hcihcignkpajeehfnomlncinacagapdf I'm planning to make releases to this app a few weeks earlier than the GA app. If things don't work, I'm counting on your bug reports to help keep those defects out of GA. You can contact me via "Visit Support Hub", then either "contact the developer," or the "developer's support site" link + "new issue' button if you have a GitHub account. What's new in Version 1.8.7 * Fix links silently not opening on a freshly loaded page (#38) * The injected content script is a lightweight loader that kicks off an async import of the real module and returns immediately, so its message listener could still be registering when the next request went out * `setup()` now polls until the content script actually responds instead of guessing a delay * Fix a crash in the popup's link filter when a regex match ended at the very last character of the link list * `highlightRegex` dereferenced a possibly-null `TreeWalker` node after walking off the end of the text, throwing and aborting highlighting of any earlier matches in the same filter pass * Also fixes a related off-by-one that could wrap a spurious empty highlight span around the start of the next text node when a match landed exactly on a node boundary * Fix a console error on every keystroke in the popup * The "type anywhere to jump into the filter" handler redispatched the same (already-dispatching) keypress event onto the filter, which is a DOM-spec violation and always threw `InvalidStateError` * Moving focus to the filter while the native keypress is still bubbling was already enough for the browser to deliver the character there; the redispatch was unnecessary as well as broken * Show a friendly message when opening links fails * The popup's Open button showed the raw `Error` object's default string (e.g. `Error: No group with id: 12345.`) instead of the curated title/subtitle messaging used everywhere else in the popup * Now shows "Unable to open links" as the title with the underlying error as the subtitle * Add keyboard navigation to the popup's link list * ArrowUp/ArrowDown move focus across the currently visible (unfiltered) rows; Space toggles the focused row's checkbox * Focusing a row via the keyboard highlights the corresponding link on the page, matching the existing mouse-hover behavior * Extract links from image-map areas and formaction buttons (#24) * `` inside `` (image maps) and ``/`<input type="submit"|"image">` with a `formaction` attribute are now picked up alongside ``, in the light DOM, inside open shadow roots, and in the "selection collapsed inside a single link" special case * `` labels fall back to the element's `alt` attribute, since it has no text content of its own What's new in Version 1.8.6 * Show `[empty]` for links with no text, not just missing text (#33) * Traverse open shadow roots when extracting links (#34) * Fixes links not being found on sites that render content in web components, e.g. Internet Archive * Fix links not found when a selection lies entirely inside an open shadow root (#35) * Browsers collapse such a selection's `Range` to a zero-width point; recover the real boundary points via `Selection.getComposedRanges()` where supported (Chrome 127+, Firefox 142+) What's new in Version 1.8.5 * Add copy links to clipboard (#28) * Copy button in popup writes checked URLs (newline-separated) to clipboard * Context menu item and keyboard shortcut (`osl_copy`) for copy without opening the popup * Add incognito/private window option (#29) * "Incognito/private" checkbox in popup; greyed out with a note if Chrome hasn't granted incognito access * When opened from an incognito window, the checkbox is pre-checked so new windows inherit privacy by default; user can uncheck to escape to a regular window * Context menu and keyboard commands respect the saved incognito setting * If already in an incognito window, "open in current window" stays there rather than creating a new one What's new in Version 1.8.4 * Fix opening links in a new window from the menu or command When viewing a page containing a list of links you want to open, such as a list of references in Wikipedia or a paper, it's convenient to be able to open them all at once rather than opening and dragging one at a time.
