The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About OG Image Inspector — by Linkshot
OG Image Inspector shows the Open Graph image, share-card preview and full
og:* / twitter:* meta tags for whatever page you're on — one click, no
copy-pasting URLs into external checkers.
WHAT YOU SEE WHEN YOU CLICK THE ICON
• The page's og:image rendered at the correct 1.91:1 aspect ratio, with the
declared og:image:width × og:image:height overlaid so you can spot
under-sized or over-sized assets at a glance. A "no og:image tag" empty
state when the page is missing one entirely, and a "failed to load" state
with the broken URL when the image 404s.
• A "Share card" preview showing how the link renders as a standard
large-image social card — the same large-image layout Facebook, X
(summary_large_image) and LinkedIn all use — pulled from og:title,
og:description and the canonical host.
• A "Raw meta" tab listing every og:* and twitter:* tag the page exposes,
plus the canonical URL, theme-color and meta description, so you can debug
missing or malformed metadata in seconds. Tags that aren't set are clearly
marked "not set" instead of silently empty.
WHO IT'S FOR
• Developers shipping landing pages, blog posts and product pages who want to
sanity-check their OG metadata before pushing live.
• Marketers and SEOs auditing competitor sites or their own funnel pages.
• Anyone tired of "this share preview looks broken" surprises.
PRIVACY
• The extension only reads metadata from the tab you're actively looking at,
and only the moment you click the toolbar icon.
• No analytics, no tracking, no remote calls. Everything happens locally in
the popup.
• No host permissions — uses Chrome's "activeTab" permission, which means
the extension can ONLY see the current tab and ONLY when you invoke it.
ABOUT THE MAKER
Built by the team behind Linkshot — a tool for generating *dynamic* Open Graph
images that change per page, per product or per user. If you've ever wished
your site had a different OG image for every blog post or every customer
without manually exporting PNGs, that's what Linkshot does. The inspector is
free; the maker is at https://uselinkshot.com.
