About 乔木剪藏 · Obsidian + RSS
Save articles and selected passages to Obsidian, and study videos or podcasts alongside their subtitles.
• Clip clean Markdown notes with titles, properties, source links and highlights.
• Ask an image-capable AI model about actual article images, including selected images and long-image sections.
• Read, edit, copy or export the draft before saving. Article clipping and reading do not require an account or an AI model.
• Study supported videos and audio with timestamped subtitles, search and playback navigation. Original subtitles are preferred; generate subtitles when needed.
• Generate subtitles with a local model or a cloud speech service you configure. AI explanations and translation use your own configured provider and model.
• Complete interface support for Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German and Brazilian Portuguese.
• Optional Qiaomu RSS sharing is off by default. If you enable it, the submitted URL, title and article content are public.
The optional local helper enables saving to folders on your computer and acquiring audio for subtitle generation. Install it separately from the extension's settings. The macOS installer includes Python and is signed and notarized; Windows and Linux setup instructions are available in the repository. Speech models may require a separate download. Cloud recognition sends audio only to the service you choose.
If a website requires sign-in to access audio, the extension can request the optional browser cookies permission after you enable this setting. Only the current site's sign-in data is passed to the local helper; temporary cookie files are deleted after the task. The store edition can save complete non-YouTube media files from supported study pages. The optional downloads permission is requested only when you click Download. YouTube media-file downloads and download redirects are blocked; DRM decryption and segmented/split-stream merging are not provided. Only download content you have permission to save. Media files go directly from their source to your computer, without our servers.
