The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About NullClipper
NullClipper is a fast snipping tool for the current browser tab.
Capture
• Snip a region or the whole visible tab
• Record a short GIF of a region (about 12 fps, up to 8 seconds)
• Copy a PNG or GIF straight to the clipboard
NullImage (optional)
• Upload an encrypted snip and copy a private share link
• AES-256-GCM encryption in the extension; the raw image is not sent in the clear
• Expiry (1 hour to 7 days), burn after first view, optional password
• Uses the server URL you set (default https://nullimage.org)
How to use
1. Click the NullClipper icon or press Alt+Shift+X (change this in chrome://extensions/shortcuts)
2. Choose Snip or GIF
3. Drag a region (or capture the full tab)
4. Paste with Ctrl+V, or share the NullImage link
Notes
• Captures the current tab only — not the whole desktop or other windows
• chrome://, opera://, and store pages cannot be captured
• Works in Chrome, Edge, and Opera
Privacy: capture runs only after you click Capture or use the shortcut. See the privacy policy on the listing.
