Notita — Voice transcriber

Notita is an independent extension **for Google Chrome** that transcribes WhatsApp Web voice messages and writes summaries adapted to your context. It is not an official WhatsApp product and is not affiliated with Meta. For now Notita works **only on Google Chrome**: we do not support other browsers, not even Chromium-based ones. ▸ How it works 1. Open WhatsApp Web in a tab, as you always do. 2. Open the Notita panel: it asks for your account key with a button that takes you straight to it on notita.online. You paste it once and you are done. 3. As you move through your chats, Notita transcribes the voice messages and shows them in the side panel, with a button to generate a summary. ▸ Summaries that understand your business You define a "summary intent" (for example: "focus on quotes and dates, formal tone"), and optionally an override per contact. The summary engine applies that intent inside an anti-hallucination wrapper: it will not invent data that is not in the audio. ▸ Record voice notes from the panel Beyond transcribing chat audio, you can record a voice note straight from your microphone (with pause and resume) and Notita transcribes it right away. Useful for leaving yourself reminders without leaving WhatsApp Web. ▸ Type notes by hand Prefer typing? Create a written note from the panel. It is stored and searchable alongside the rest of your transcripts, and it can be summarized too. ▸ Create Google Calendar events With one click, Notita extracts the date, time, title and participants mentioned in an audio and opens your notita.online dashboard so you can confirm the event before it is created in your Google Calendar. You always review before anything is created. ▸ Plans Notita has a free plan and paid plans with more transcription and summary capacity. Your remaining usage is shown in the panel. **Transcription quality is the same on every plan** — the free tier is not a degraded version. ▸ Languages Transcription supports six selectable languages (Spanish, English, Portuguese, Italian, French and German) or automatic detection, which recognizes the language of the audio without translating it. The interface is available in Spanish and English, and summaries are written in whichever language you set for the interface. These are two separate settings: the language of your audio, and the language you read Notita in. ▸ Privacy modes (paid plans) You choose where each note ends up: - **Standard**: stored in your account and visible on all your devices. - **Unlinked**: the transcript is stored **only in this browser**. It never reaches our database. - **Temporary**: same as "Unlinked", plus it is cleared when you **reload the WhatsApp Web tab** or close the browser. If you have notes you have not exported, the extension warns you with the count and gives you a few seconds to download them first. In both private modes the audio **does** leave your browser and is transcribed on our infrastructure and that of the providers we contract (see below), and it **still consumes your credits**. What we do not do is store the result, the contact name, or which conversation it belongs to. You can export your private notes to `.txt` or `.json` whenever you want. ▸ Privacy and data - Audio is sent to your account at notita.online to be transcribed and summarized. The original audio file is not stored once the transcription is complete. - **In Standard mode**, the transcript, the summary and the chat metadata (contact name) are stored in your account. - **In the private modes** (Unlinked / Temporary), the audio is processed and discarded: the transcript is stored only in your browser, and the contact name and conversation identifier **are not sent**. - On **every plan, including the free one**, transcription and summarization run on AI infrastructure providers we contract: they receive the audio and text needed for that job, act on our behalf, and return only the result. They cannot use your content for their own purposes or to train their models. This applies **in the private modes too**: "private" describes what we store, not where the model runs. We do not sell your data. - The extension only activates on https://web.whatsapp.com tabs. - Your account key is stored only in this browser and is never synced through Chrome Sync. - Full detail in the privacy policy: https://notita.online/privacy ▸ Requirements - Desktop Google Chrome.
